Using Retired U. S. Navy ships!
They
are just going to be scrapped anyway!
Cut one section of tanks out
of an Oiler
..

View:
where
this drawing come from
The
section has 3 tanks the width of the ship.
It could be floated to the Gulf Oil Leak Site
Not being an expert on how things would work
here, especially at these depths;
WHAT IF THE SECTION WERE MODIFIED AS BELOW.
USING SUBMARINE SINKING TECHNIQUES, LOWER THE SECTION DOWN
OVER THE CASING AND HOPE THE MUD WOULD ABSORB THE
HUGE OIL PRESSURE BLASTING FROM BELOW.
THEN LET THE OIL FLOW UP TO A TANKER
THROUGH THE EXISTING 7 INCH VALVES!
THOSE CORE DRILLS NOW IN PROCESS,
COULD MISS THE MARK
PERHAPS THEN,
Dr. Wickstrom's
warning would come ture.
Tanks 8S and 8P would first be filled with air
and gradually be filled with water to aid in a controlled sinking.
