CONVERTING  USS KAWISHIWI  T-AO-146 into a REEF
Scuba Divers - THIS SHIP CAN  BE A REEF IN YOUR FAVORITE AREA - OTHER OILERS COULD USE THE SAME PROCESS.
The Kawishiwi was commissioned on July 6, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA. This is how she looked.
He whole career was in the Pacific.  Her guns re removed after the Vietnam War.

If Kawishiwi is chosen to become a reef, over 50 holes will be cut into her hull to allow the water to sweep in.
All her UNREP rigs would be stripped - perhaps the main mast could be moved - way down and saved.
Actually, all flags would be gone.
